Coastal Waters Dive Club was first incorporated in 1991. Originally we were called “Divers Service Dive Club Inc”. In April 1993 the club became an independent club not directly associated with a dive shop.
Since March 1992 we’ve been participating in KESAB Clean Up Days to help keep our waterways and jetties clean – we’ve collected rubbish at Rapid Bay, Granite Island, Edithburgh, Port Victoria, Wallarroo – just to name a few.
Our first oxygen administration equipment was purchased in June 1993 and since then we have maintained and added to this original equipment for use on club dives.
The Buddy Line was established in December 1993 for club members to have access to other divers when they are seeking a dive buddy for non scheduled club dives.
In 1996 the Diver of the Year trophy was established to recognise the diver who has achieved the most club dives throughout the year.
In September 1999 the club acquired a Resuscitation SAL supported by a grant from the SA Department of Recreation and Sport.
In 2010 the club moved its meeting venue to the Eagles Bar and Bistro, Port Road, Beverley.
