Dive SA

WHAT'S TO SEE

South Australia is home to the leafy sea-dragon and there are a variety of locations where one or more can be spotted.

There are plenty of other species of interest in South Australian waters, whether it is off the coast of metropolitan Adelaide, or further afield.

Water temperature ranges from around 23ºC in summer to a cool ‘bring your own dry suit or 7mm wetsuit’ 10ºC in winter.

A VARIETY of dive adventures

Dives in South Australia range from an easy 6m depth to around 30m.

With Leafy Sea Dragons at Rapid Bay, the wreck of the ex-HMAS Hobart in nearby Wirrina waters, great jetty dives around Yorke Peninsula and good fresh water diving around Mt Gambier, there is something for every diver to experience!

Find out more about some of the SA dive sites through the DiveDB website, a very useful tool put together by one of Adelaide’s local divers.
